Privacy Policy

Minimal Applications (“we”) makes World of Work, a macOS productivity app that presents your notes and tasks in a game-like world. This policy explains how the app handles information.

The short version

World of Work works entirely on your Mac. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Your notes, tasks, characters, and settings stay on your device and are never sent to us.

Data on your device

Everything the app needs — the notes and tasks you create, your character details and game progress, and your preferences — is stored locally in the app's macOS sandbox. This data is used only to provide the app's features and remember your world between sessions. The app has no cloud sync or remote backup, and we have no access to what you store in it.

Notes accept free-form text, so what you put in them is up to you. If you keep sensitive information in the app, make sure your Mac and its backups are secured appropriately.

What we receive

The app transmits nothing to us. The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to send us directly — for example, when you email support. We use it to respond to you and keep it only as long as reasonably necessary.

Links and the App Store

If you open a link saved in a note, your browser and the destination handle that visit under their own privacy policies — we don't receive anything. If you get the app through the Mac App Store, Apple processes downloads and purchases under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Analytics

World of Work contains no analytics today. In a future update we plan to add Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics that help us understand how the app is used and improve it. We will update this policy before that change ships.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Because your app data never leaves your Mac, there is nothing for us to share.

Deleting your data

Your data stays on your Mac until you delete it. You can delete individual items in the app, or remove everything by quitting World of Work and deleting the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.minimalapplications.worldofwork in Finder. Copies may remain in backups you control, such as Time Machine, until you delete them — we cannot access or delete data stored on your device.

Security

World of Work runs in Apple's app sandbox, and its local data is protected by your Mac's own security. We recommend a strong account password and enabling FileVault if you store sensitive information.

Children's privacy

World of Work is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not transmit personal information to us.

Changes to this policy

If a future version adds features that change how the app handles information — such as cloud sync, accounts, or analytics — we will update this policy and post it here with a new effective date before those practices begin.
